Oolong Tea Infusions

INFUSED OOLONG TEA FACTS

After water, tea is the most enjoyed beverage in the world and a lot of that popularity is thanks to the complex group that is oolong. Oxidation, and specifically how long one lets the leaves of Camellia sinensis oxidize, matters a great deal and oolongs’ range of oxidation, from under 10% to over 80%, gives us an advantage when creating a blend, allowing us to select an oolong perfectly suited to compliment and harmonize with a myriad of different spices, fruits, and herbs.

INFUSED OOLONG TEA ORIGINS AND VARIETIES

Whether you are looking for floral, fruity, earthy or smoky, Oolong infusions really do have it all. If beating the heat is the goal of the day, our Peach Oolong is a fabulous choice. If you’re looking for something more round and warm on the palette, our Vanilla Apricot Oolong is a hug in a cup. Full of antioxidants, theasinensins, and caffeine, the scientific community is slowly unraveling the boons that oolong brings to the table, but preliminary work shows that it may help with inflammation, hypertension, and potentially be a tool in preventing a laundry list of other ailments.

INFUSED OOLONG TEA BREWING TEMPERATURE & TIME

Oolong teas have a wider brewing temperature range than other tea varietals. Our wide offering of unique oolong tea blends results in different optimal temperatures, with lighter oolongs tasting best brewed around 180°F and darker oolong tea flavors benefitting from a higher temperature of 205°F. Oolong tea leaves can steep anywhere from 3-4 minutes, however, each drinker’s palate will dictate the proper brewing time. You can also refer to our packaging for specific brewing instructions to complement each tea. But most importantly, do what makes you happy!
