Chipotle flakes are made by crushing jalapeno peppers that were slowly smoked over a natural wood fire. This slow smoking imparts a wonderfully smoky and spicy flavor to whatever it is added to. Use them in enchilada sauces, chili, stews, BBQ ribs and corn bread. Their smoky flavor complements poultry, meats and fall squash. Perfect addition to marinades, spice rubs, or a traditional adobo. Their moderate heat level ranges from 15,000 to 35,000 on Scoville Heat Scale.
