The Irish didn’t have their own breakfast blend until after WWII yet wanted a stronger, heartier tea than the English Breakfast they had been drinking. Our hand blended Irish Breakfast Tea is designed to be consistent with the original Irish tea masters blend while also paying homage to our family heritage. We blend high quality Assam, Kenyan and Chinese black teas to produce this strong breakfast blend that, of course, holds up well to cream. So, the next time you are craving a strong “cupan tea” (Gaelic for “cup of tea”) reach for our Irish Breakfast Tea.

Steeping Instructions: 1-1.5 tsp, Boiling Water, 3-5 Minutes

Ingredients: Indian and Chinese Black Teas

Fun Facts or Useless Information…You Decide:

Of all the traditional breakfast blends, Irish Breakfast tea happens to be the newest creation. Until WWII, Ireland received most of its tea from England, however, during WWII Ireland took a neutral stand and refused to allow Britain to use its western ports.  Thus, England stopped sending tea to Ireland. With the help of newly adopted post-WWII laws, Ireland began importing its own tea and tea masters set to work in blending their own, unique breakfast blend.

So mellow. It's an attitude adjustment in a cup. You feel your whole body sigh as you indulge.

Good Tea. Have been drinking this for years. Yours is the best of the retailers I’ve tried. You have no stems just tea leaves. So prices are a little high but the quality is worth it.

Tea

I have had this tea in the past and find it very nice and has a bit of a kick for the fist cup in the morning. The reason why I keep buying it is because I love it. I have been drinking loose leaf tea for over 50 years so I know what I am writing about.
