South African Rooibos (roy-boss) is commonly referred to as red bush tea and is a delicious caffeine-free alternative to black tea. Rooibos is naturally high in antioxidants and has a subtly sweet, some may detect citrus and vanilla notes, and nutty flavor. Rooibos holds up well to cream and takes to flavor infusions as well as traditional tea (Camellia Sinensis) does. If you are a DIY home blender you should get to know South African Rooibos.
